A natural cottage style garden with woodland walk beside the river- Tufton Warren, Hampshire

The Brief: To construct a family garden with natural woodland walk, cottage garden borders, play area and feature seating areas.

The chief inspiration centred around the willows, being an original feature of the existing garden. These were pollarded to keep them manageable and create a traditional riverside appearance. A circular brick feature patio led onto a heavily woodchipped path which wound through the willows, creating a woodland walk to the rear of the garden. The lawn was flanked by deep cottage garden borders and a childrens play area was placed at the rear - separated by a wooden gate.

A small patio outside the property in natural stone was extended considerably.
